Course Overview

CIPC - CANADIAN INNOVATION PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST 2025

CIPC, the Photography Contest, is designed to allow students to capture how innovations influence our lives and humanity. We also want our young photographers to show the impact of innovations on society. This will enable them to analyze, communicate and reinterpret the ideas and expressions.

CONTEST SCHEDULE & ELIGIBILITY 

  • Eligibility: Grades 5-10 through their school only
  • Format: Online Submission
  • Contest Dates: March 1 - 31, 2025
  • Levels: Grades 5/6, Grades 7/8, and Grades 9/10
  • Award Ceremony: TBD

 

CONTEST THEME

Create a more sustainable world through a personal or school project. Students can tell their photo stories explaining their project and its impact. Students can pick any one of the following themes to create their project and take photos to show the project lifecycle:

    • Theme 1: Create a project for renewable energy.
    • Theme 2: Create a project for recycling.

STUDENT RECOGNITION & AWARDS

  • Gold Awards: Top 1% of students for each contest level. The award includes a customized medal & e-certificate.
  • Silver Awards: Top 2-3% of students for each contest level. The award includes a customized medal & e-certificate.
  • Bronze Awards: Top 4-6% of students for each contest level. The award includes a customized medal & e-certificate.
  • Honors Award Canadian Schools: Top 7-10% of students for each contest level. The award includes a customized medal & e-certificate.
  • Certificate of participation: Given to all participants.

CICC - CANADIAN INNOVATION COMPUTING CONTEST 2025 This contest aims to cultivate students’ creativity, logical reasoning ability, and algorithmic & computational thinking skills. Students will be able to better understand computational thinking by developing solutions. It involves defining problems, analyzing problems and designing their solutions. No prior programming knowledge is required to participate in this contest. CIDC allows students to showcase their persuasive speaking, communication, and debating skills. In this contest, we will focus on persuasive public speaking and debate. CIWC is designed to promote language and comprehension skills for students and their ability to apply reasoning and logic. It also encourages students to use creative writing, drawing on their imagination to convey meaning through the use of imagery, narrative, and drama in their written words. Students will follow rules of writing structure combined with imagination to create stories that entertain and engage the readers.
